DECOMMISSIONING OF NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS

E-LEARNING PROGRAM

E-learning "Decommissioning of nuclear power plants" (16 lessons) for member countries of the International Atomic Energy Agency

The story

In 2015, the International Atomic Energy Agency (based in Vienna) announced an international tender for e-learning "Decommissioning of Nuclear Power Plants" (16 lessons) which was open to all member countries (159 countries). We won the tender and the development of e-learning in cooperation with the IAEA was really successful. Today, this e-learning is considered a benchmark for other e-learning projects of the agency and our cooperation with the agency continues. This could be a brief version of the story.

However, we perceive this story in a much broader context. Since its founding in 1991, Simopt has been implementing projects that help to explain and popularize various energy technologies to the public and professionals. We have implemented many commercial projects but we have also invested in such projects ourselves. We are pleased that we have succeeded in an exceptionally demanding international environment with high demands on quality and process settings in the project implementation. Working for the agency is for us some completion of the company's professional ambitions.

Project

Appreciation
"I appreciate the high professional level of e-learning from Simopt which has a great response from colleagues at the agency but I would also like to highlight an active pro-client and positive approach throughout the implementation of a large project." Vladimir Michal, IAEA, D&ER Team leader
